Granville Chambers was built in 1881 as a Temperance Hotel
The architects Lawson & Donkin created a superb classic Victorian high art design. It was built using Franco-Flemish buff terracotta with mullioned and transomed windows. Between 1900 and 1930 it became the Granville Hotel. During 1930 it ceased to be a hotel and was changed to offices. There was a refurbishment during 1985 but the commission came to Christine to make some real changes by introducing her style to bring the building up to date with of course recognising the dynamics of its Grade 2 listed status.
